Towards an integrated approach in innovation and development
In the line of the successful series of WCOC's (Italy 1989, Spain 1993, USA 1997, Germany 2001, Japan 2005), the congress is intended to offer an update of recent innovation in fundamental and applied aspects. The 6WCOC will be focussed on highlighting progress, new developments and new directions in oxidation.
The organization of the 6WCOC will be ensured jointly between the "Laboratory of Catalysis and Solid State Chemistry - UCCS" (UST Lille/CNRS/ECL/ENSCL - France) and the "Laboratory of Catalysis and Divided Materials Chemistry - CATA" (Université catholique de Louvain - Belgium).

It is a pleasure to announce on behalf of the Petroleum Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the organization of the “5th International Symposium on Hydrotreating/Hydrocracking Technologies” at the 238th National ACS meeting in Washington DC, August 16-20, 2009. The meeting will be held in conjunction with a symposium titled, “Advances in Hydrodesulfurization and Hydrodenitrogenation” in honor of Prof. Roel Prins.
